Fighting For Your Marriage With Proclamations

Fighting For Your Marriage With Proclamations

When you have doubt, understand it’s just the enemy trying to rob you of God’s promises. The bible’s so much more than just a book. It’s also called the truth. All of the scriptures contained in the Bible are promises for our lives. If we are sick, for example, we can turn to what the Bible says about healing and confess out loud the very scripture into our lives. God, you wrote this, now, please let your will be done through it.

The bible explains that God is not capable of lying.  It says that if he tells us he’ll do something, he’ll do it(Numbers 23:19). The enemy will bring fear, doubt, and a desire to move on from your marriage and find someone else. He’ll tell you that they’ll never return! This is a lie. Not only will they return, but God promises they’ll come home if we have faith and are patient for his timing. (Jeremiah 24:7)

He promises that he’ll constantly go after them until they find their way back to Jesus. (Ezekiel 34:11-12)  What’s his will?  That they repent and come home to their spouse.  We often think he’s taking to long, but he’s not!  He takes the exact amount of time needed for them to repent.  They can’t return home until they repent from the enemy and fall back to Jesus.  (2 Peter 3:9)

Another promise is that God won’t allow them to continue in their sin. He promises to bring them back. (Ezekiel 37:23) Why do marriages fail? Because people doubt God and don’t wait for his miracle to come to pass. They want it now! They grow impatient and move on with dating, drugs, drinking, and other forms of sin that will cut them away from the blessings of the Father. This is why it’s critical we give up devices that separate us from God. We know that the bible says that God doesn’t even hear us when we sin. He only listens to the prayers of the righteous who do his will. (John 9:31)

The Prodigals Perspective

I want to share with you a story from a prodigals perspective. Stephanie was the one who left and will explain what your husband/wife sees each day and how, if you wait, they will return. Please click here to hear her story. This will give you a sneak peek at how the devil works in our prodigals.

His Promises Always Are Fulfilled

Everything he promises is 100% guaranteed to come true in our lives if we have faith in his word. I’m going to show you how you can apply those promises to your marriage and save it from the enemy’s lies. We do this by using Rhema. In the bible, we find two meanings in greek for the word “word.” Logos which is the very word of God, It’s the bible, It’s what the laws that govern heaven are made up of and what God will use to judge all of creation in the end.

We also see the word Rhema.  This is a spoken word of God.  When Jesus was in the desert being tempted by the enemy, he used Rhema to defeat the Devil.  Three times Jesus replied with “It is written,” “It is written,” and “It’s is written,” followed by scriptures that were the word of God.  This is an example of Rhema.

Matthew 4:4 – Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

This is why the bible is called the sword of the spirit.  (Ephesians 6:17) It’s our only offensive weapon against the Devil.  Many of us only put on some of our armor while going into battle. We pray, praise, and give thanks but fail to attack back.  This is why he sticks around.

Reading scripture out loud when the Devil is whispering in our ear is how we overcome him with the very Logos or word of God.  So we use Rhema that is taken from Logos to destroy the lies of the enemy. We call these making proclamations, which means “to shout forth.”  We are saying with our lips the powerful words of God and releasing his spirit into those attacks.

I wanted to share with you the same scriptures I use to counter the enemy when he comes to lie, cheat, and steal God’s promises from me.  I encourage you to read these out loud when he is lying to you. Start each scripture with “It is written” and then read it.

Before you start to read them out loud, start with the very first one to give power to the rest of them.

Isaiah 55:10– For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

2 Timothy 1:7 – For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Psalm 34:4 – I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

Victory For Our Marriages

Ezekiel 37:23 – They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Jeremiah 24:7 – Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

Ephesians 3:20  – Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us

Joshua 24:15– And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Psalm 37:3-6– Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.

Isaiah 48:3 – “I have declared the former things from the beginning; They went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.
